@666metal666me I dont doubt that England has had some glory days in hockey but I honestly cant think off the top of my head of a player from UK that has ever skated in an NHL game. Until England gets some real high caliber players that can play in the N, you will never have a division 1 international team. Again, im not trying to rip on you guys. I think i would just like to see a Canada vs. England gold medal game. btw, Crosby would score in OT to win it for Canada =)

@hennaert It's sad really cuz the only time it really makes the headlines or tv in the uk is when there are fights, most people don't realise what an awesome and incredibly skilled sport it is

@Hana15 One thing ive noticed searching British hockey is, its only fights. On youtube anyway.There's so much more to hockey than just beating the crap out of eachother. And ya, I live within a 20 minute drive of about 8 rinks.

@Hana15 Yes, anyway. Why doesn't England have a descent national team if hockey is becoming so popular there. Not trying to be insulting, just wondering.

@hennaert Well the majority of players over here are Canadian/American rather than British. Most people seem to think its because our import levels in the Elite League are too high meaning our young Brits don't get a good enough chance to play. Plus there's the fact that it might be getting more popular but its still a minority sport. There are hardly any ice rinks compared to countries like Canada, so its easier for kids and cheaper to take up something like football or rugby.
