  • check out my band "nightshade forest" well old band never really did much with it but i named it after this EP i love this shit

  • Remains to be my favorite song of theirs. I remember nightly walks in forests with this on my headphones when it came out. It is absolutely magnificent audial perfection of those solitude moments of darkness.

  • another great song by an excellent band.

  • Summoning does like EVERYTHING right!! It's like thayre made for me :D

  • @Taystesouth Northward rules!

  • There is a poem by the great Tolkien called Kortirion among the treas, can't believe they made a song about it. Kortirion is supposed to be in Tol Eressea, in the forgotten lands.

Anyway, this song is stunning, magical, occult, magnificent.

Also I really like the art of the picture in the video, the whole thing - the picture, the song and the Tolkien reference gives the song deep mysticism and great atmosphere.

  • @Scottp480 :)

  • @vboxeca Well, I listen to more than just that. I was just stating that post-rock is a good starting off point. I'm also into 40s and 50s music, and some classic rock. I like classical but don't listen to enough of it, I'll get on that. I still enjoy some of the alternative rock from my elementary school days as well (I'm about to graduate from college now). But thank you for the recommendations, I know the names but don't listen to much Cream or Jethro Tull... I'll get on that as well!

  • @Scottp480 You didn't really expand you horizons. You're still in just this genre. Try some folk and classical music. Try some Cream and Jethro Tull. Try some Buena Vista Social Club. Try some Rachmaninov. I don't say metal is bad. Just don't trap yourself in one type genres. :)
