I love Fiat twin cams - sure you can abuse and break anything, but a sound coup engine will take it all day and all night!!
Even the 125 motor in my AC when I first had it was a screamer, good for 110 mph in third gear - OK this was abuse - but it took it all!!

@polkakung Wow I ran an 69 AC - CC 1800 with BC carbs and cams went like a cut cat!! till it started to fall apart.

@JackVrooder I did - I had an AC with a CC 1800 AND BC twin down drafts and cams - just get some sports air cleaners or raise the bonnet catch, you will have to lose the original intake funnels. Or steal a bonnet of an Arbarth spider!!

Hi there, I wonder if this car is already in the world wide owners registry? wwwdotfiat124sportcoupedotcom

@polkakung when I put a1756 in my ac it ran too hot ,so I used the electric fan ,you need to cut a slot in the fan frame for the waterpump pulley bolts. I tried twin IDF 40's but 1756 engines vary a lot, good ones are great some are ordinary. mine ate g/boxes, used abarth box out of 131 sport with longer fifth, If I did it again i'd use lancia 1998? Worst brakes ever!!!
can you put an 1800 in an AC coupe? I was told it would sit too high. thanks

Yep, but it's tight. You can't have the original air filter, no electrical fan, and not the alquati manifold. I have filter socks on the Dellorto 45's but the frontmost carb sits to close to the hood so it doesn't run properly with this setup.

jeez that went pretty good, what head are you running?
I'm running a 131 2L Block with a Regata 100s Head in my CC

It's the original head, same as the abarth. But I've spent a winter modifying it. Larger and matched ports, cut valve guides, race cut big valves etc.
