  • I made this recepie day after day when I saw the recepie on you tube. It is delicious....LOVE THEM.

Thanks for the recepie Rene, you are wonderful.

  • I am going to try these right now. I have been making kale chips w/ cashews and i have been reacting to nuts lately so I am so glad to find your recipe with Sunflower seeds. Organic Peppers are really expensive so I was wondering if you have substituted anything that you like as well as peppers. I am going to omit them and see how it works out. I like the idea of sprinkling the ss on top. I have only seen it mixed in with the dressing. Thank you for your recipes. They are very helpful to me.

  • I make the sauce for my kale chips in the Vitamix as follows:

    3 big red bell peppers

    4 cloves of garlic

    1/4 tsp of cheyenne pepper

    1/3 cup of olive oil

    juice of 1 lemon

    3 Tbsp hemp seeds

1 1/2 tsp Himalayan pink salt

This makes enough sauce for two big heads of kale and will fill 3 to 4 trays in the Excalibur dehydrator where I dehydrate at 105 for 12 hours. The sauce is thick enough that you work it into the kale coating all the bite-sized pieces and put on the netting sheets..won't drip.

  • Rene... these chips are amazing! I had them in the dehydrator overnight and woke up at 6:30 this morning to try them! Incredible!

Thanks for NOT making these unhealthy by adding salt and oil to them :)

  • I've been wanting to make these for a few weeks and I finally did last night. I only had two bunches of kale, but I made about the same amount of dressing, so they're a little heavy on the flavor, but they're still great!

I saved a bowl of the fresh kale with the dressing to eat last night as a salad because it was just so good! Great dressing. I put the ground soaked/dehydrated sunflower seeds on only 2/3 of the batch to see how it was without. With or without, they are fantastic. Thanks!!

  • Thanks Rene, this recipe sounds really delicious

  • I REALLY enjoy your videos Renee. I am so curious to try those kale chips! My favorite is dinosaur kale in smoothies and juices- it's just more mild than the other kinds. Never had it as chips though! I'm going to try it! God Bless You!! ~ Angel

  • Your chips looks delicious Rene. Thank you for sharing your recipes, I really enjoy watching your videos.

I appreciate the tip of using sesame seeds instead of the more expensive tahini.
