Roku-Roku Hybrid Graphite & Hard-Milling VMC Product Overview
Roku-Roku High-Speed machining centers are built to be extremely accurate while providing spindle speeds of 30,000 to 40,000 RPM depending on machine model. Designed as a Hybrid machining family the HC series has double sealed ways and ball screws for graphite milling and can also use a mist coolant system or compressed air for hard milling. Amano dust collection system is standard with all the HC series machines.
The flood coolant machines provide the same great design and accuracy with a large coolant tank and higher horse power spindle. Roku has just introduced the newest member of the family, the RMX-50V which is a full 5-axis machine available in both flood and dry types for metallic or graphite duty.
Roku-Roku is imported and fully supported through MC Machinery Systems Inc. With the same great service provided to the Mitsubishi EDM and Laser equipment. Roku-Roku is the only High-Speed VMC providing a standard full 3-Year warranty and that includes the spindle!!

  • The HC658 comes standard with an 8.5HP 32,000 RPM spindle. There is a 20HP 30,000RPM spindle option. All new HC658s come with Thermal Comp standard on the spindle. Yes this is a HIGH-SPEED VMC mostly designed for Hard Milling and griphite electrode cutting.

  • Power? What a joke. I operated and programmed these machines. They are a true high speed machine, but only capable of steel milling up to a 3/8" cutter. The biggest complaint I had with the HC658 was the thermal growth in the spindle. It is not unusual to see a .003" growth in the z axis. It was excellent with trodes if you keep most of your cutters at a constant rpm.

  • Pure power & precision! :)
