The interviewer, Howard, comes off as hostile and insulting, then claims that Jim was acting contemptuous of him. What he probably picked up on was Jim's defensiveness against his perceived contempt, and Jim had been being treated like an untouchable creep for awhile by then and probably really felt it. In spite of that, Jim treats him with friendliness, although guarded. The whole thing is about 95% misunderstanding.

Morrisons IQ was no secret. Its stated in many books, most recently in the Stephen Davis book I just finished, "Jim Morrison: Life, death, legend." This is a must read book for any Morrison fan. Yes, Jim rambled slowly through this interview, he was probably very hung over! Notice how many cups of coffee he asks for?? As for your "superior" philosophical reflections...I will not debate that, thats absurd. Although I will venture to say that Jim would not misspell "reflection." ;)
