This song may not have been successful, but it is one of my favorites, the Bee Gees songs that they do enter into their veins, and not go out more, the Bee Gees are amazing!

One of my all time favourite Bee Gees songs - absolutely love it. Barry once said he thought it was too long and slow - I think it's perfect - very moving.
I love how it gently builds with the piano not starting until nearly the 2 minute park. The orchestration doesn't feature until the 2nd half of the song, nor the layered harmonies.
And the lyric switch of "always like children - afraid of the night," to "never like people - afraid of the night," has always intrigued me.
Majestic.

Good!
King and Country was released in Deutschland as a B-side to "Wouldn't I be Someone" in 1973. It would also be released that same year in Chile as part of a four-song EP disk. This beautiful song was part of the unreleased LP called "A Kick in the Head is Worth Eight in the Pants".
5 stars!
