The Freddy Krueger Song.

I bought the Nightmare on Elm Street DVD Box Set yesterday. The lady friend and I watched the first installment tonight and she was so freaked out that the second it was over, she popped the Gilmore Girls in to lighten the mood. I was thoroughly amused, so I picked up my guitar and sang a song to her.

Lyrics were completely improvised and as follows:

I'm not sure why but people keep asking for the chords in this so they can play it. It's really just the simplest thing imaginable to play. It's just G - Em - C - D. And if you missed it the first time, these lyrics were just improvised and not meant to impress. And I know it's not the Nightmare on Elm Street theme. And I realize Freddy didn't have a blade on his thumb (Though some folks will argue he did in The New Nightmare but I won't even go there) And finally, I know the drawings are terrible, I played the song back and attempted to doodle things relevant to the lyrics as they were sung. There was no planning involved and I certainly didn't take my time trying to create a masterpiece.

All that being said, I hope you can just see this for what it is, a playful improvisation to make light of someone's being scared witless by what I actually consider to be a fairly cheesy horror flick. Hope you can appreciate it..
