You have a point there, cause Pony Blues by Charley P. was recorded Friday, 14 June 1929 for Paramount, Richmont Indiana, Rec No 12792. But , I don't think Mr C Patton mind if it's played ?!
Then he did some recordings in 1934, most of them unissued !
Although the vid flashes "Charley Patton - Pony Blues" at the beginning I thinks its a foregone conclusion that old Charley was taking the dirt nap by the time Canned Heat went on tour.
Not a bad version of this great song...I did an arrangement of it...but this is much closer to the original than mine is...
