(Some Long Years Ago) A tribute to Dr.Martin Luther King,Jr

In commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., an international award winning music video tribute to the legacy of the slain civil rights leader entitled "Some Long Years Ago" is now being released to the general public, for the first time, since its production in 1990. The music video was produced by Roger Holden (inventor of the animation computer technology used by the Emmy award winning PBS series Reading Rainbow to film their first five seasons feature book segments, www.rainbowcybercamguy.com ). The visual style of the music video is in the style of a Reading Rainbow feature book with illustrations provided by mid western artists ranging in age from 5 to 80. The artists include Elisabeth Layton and the senior Kansas University painting class taught by internationally acclaimed artist Roger Shimomura. The song was composed by Holden and arranged in a soulful style by Stan Sheldon (bassist for Peter Frampton on his classic live albums). Kingston Jamaican singer Neville Brown who had a #1 Reggae charts hit with "Haul and Pull Up" provides the stunning lead singing vocals. The music video won two years in a row 1991 and 1992 at the Black History Month International Film and Video Festival held in Oakland, California by television station PCTV.
