I did not know that Jean Louis designed this gown, if you see the video for the Joan Crawford film,"Queen Bee" Jean Louis designed a dress similar to the one that is featured in this Pal Joey movie clip. Jean Louis was married to Loretta Young in the last part of his creative life. TAKE CARE!

I read how plastic was put in the breast area of the dress that Rita wore in the movie,"Gilda" during the "Put The Blame On Mame" song number, so that it wouldn't move when she raised her arms, I noticed that this dress doesn't move too, the costume designer must have used the same trick.

Too bad Rita didn't do more dance numbers like that in the 1950s! It's perfect! Hermes Pan did a fantastic job with the choreography, too!

I could watch this movie( and this scene in particular) for over 1 million times and yet I wouldn't get tired of seeing this! Amazing! Love Rita Hayworth! She was the icon of an era!
