@Rahhhsajp19 when im old i wont get a pension from the goverment thats why we have compulsory super so the goverment dont have to pay out and as for the father gettin it to for fuck sake grow up thats the problem now everyone expects hand outs from the gov no wonder countries go broke

next time think before you open your mouth obviously you dont have kids, but you wrote this a year ago so maybe things have changed for you. Most companies you work for wont offer to pay for secondary insurance, or even offer it at all. Parents are not asking for a hand out just some help. Cant speak for all but I dont mind paying so long as the company I work for would help out aswell.

@dihle12 AS LONG AS THE FATHER GETS IT TOO THEN ITS OK REMEMBER ONCE YOUR OLD YOU WILL BE GETTING OTHERS TAX MONEY TO LIVE THE CIRCLE OF LIFE

It's 12 weeks only in some states. In others it's just 6 weeks and no pay. Mothers is US are treated as criminals, totally left out. No wonder crimes rates are so high is US-those kids are raised by strangers, not caring parents.

Being a Canadian who is fortunate enough to get one year (reduced) paid leave, it still shocks me that American women only get 12 weeks unpaid leave. How does this allow women to breastfeed or take care of their children to the best of their abilities in the formative months of life? I'm still outraged by this and am shocked that more American women aren't too.
