Dr. King was one of the marvels of this country...go read one book on him and I promise you will be amazed..I recommend David J. Garrow's text :Bearing the Cross...idiot!

Let us remember what MLK was doing when he was taken away from us. He was helping public employees (yes, the public employees who are subject to so much denigration today). He was helping sanitation workers in their strike against the City of Memphis. A struggle, not just for better wages and working conditions, but for dignity. "I AM A MAN" was the call. "I am worthy of dignity and respect. My work is worth dignity and respect." Amen.

his dream isn't dead - just so you know...I am of irish descent.....they don't come much more pasty white than me - but so much has changed. I don't think you will ever erase the irational hate do to race but our country is nothing like what it was then. much of what he wanted is now possible. his loss tho was so.........i don't even know. Brilliant man....we need more people of all creeds, colors, race, and gender of his integrity
