Genesis/MD along with PC-engine have some of the best shooters out there. Check out Spriggan, Rayxanber III, gate of thunder, star parodier, soldier blade, air zonk, super star soldier for PCE.

@FrankStringini All of the gameplay footage was recorded from my LCD TV so i could'nt include Twinkle Tale, Panorama Cotton or Musha as i dont own them yet.
I could have included Alien Soldier, Gunstar Heroes, Contra Hard Corps, and Alasia Dragoon but they're more "Run n Gun" ....still shmups in a way i suppose =)

thanks alot for posting the videos. i just finished watching the third one and although i missed some, i still love the genre and i miss my genesis, loads of good memories. but just to point out something. you forgot Raiden Trad which is a known shmup. just wanted to point that out lol and again thanks for posting the videos.

Yeah there's quite a few i missed out mate, it's just that i was recording them stright from my Mega Drive so i could only include the ones that i own.
I definitely need to pick up a copy of Raiden Trad though, it's Awesome. =)
