  • Im looking at the same transmission and just curious if i can just get a longer driveshaft to run a two wheel drive? Thanks

  • @joeyrideskinkbikes If you don't already have a slip yoke on the drive shaft, I would reccommend having one put on. Joe and I did it for BBHR Project Sam Driveline. Sam was a 51' dodge, and had a chevy rear end. Joe and I made the drive line. But you can also order them new, and in one of the driveline vids(project Sam), we talked about where to measure from.

  • whats up with the doors? the latches busted?

  • The back doors were on all sloppy, from Dale, the previous owner. Joe since fixed that issue. The front doors are another problem. Dale was a bubble gum mechanic, and he didn't really fix things, he more like patched them. So there are a few issues that need too be worked out.

  • did yas end up swapping the boat??

  • No, joe is still holding on too the boat. Although he would like too trade it and the dually. They are deffinately on the block.

  • You can pull the shifter off separate instead of pulling it off with the top cover plate. That collar at the very bottom of the stick, push it down (really hard) and twist and the stick can be removed. I use that hole to refill the trans fluid so it eliminates crawling under the truck trying to squeeze it from a bottle and a tube.

  • cool video, my '55 pontiac wagon has the sm420. its cool for what it is but granny low isnt really needed for what i do haha

  • Yes, though plans for a V8 upgrade are in it's future.

  • Does it still have the 292 straight six in it?
