Myself, learning to ski, at the Ski centre in Sandyford.
Real boots on real skis on an artificial ski slope, basically a carpeted conveyor belt, or a rolling mountain.
"The Ski Deck has 50 square meters of dynamic skiing surface allowing 3 skiers to ski endlessly on a rolling carpet surface, (like a treadmill in reverse), in front of a full size mirror. The Deck is controlled by a qualified Instructor who adjusts the speed and tilt of the Slope with a remote control.
Using real skis, ski boots, ski bindings, ski poles and snowboards, a one hour lesson on the Endless Ski Slope is equal to a full day of ski training on the mountain. "

Don't I look calm and collected?
Once my instructor (Declan) told me to pretend I was holding a tray with 20 pints of Guinness on it and I wasn't to spill a drop, it all started to come together.
Can't wait to get back on the slopes again this season, with me 20 pints o'Guinness!!
