  • I was sitting here going "Soooo what's the difference?", then holy crap, what a shock when that unsuitable closing music played - like a bucket of cold water, LOL

  • Great Star Trek book (All About Jeffrey Hunter) at Kindle for just a $1.09!

  • The closing title music for this version has a very Jerry Goldsmith, "Man from UNCLE"-ish sound. It was never used in any of the production episodes.

  • This is the original closing (and end credits) for the unaired version of the second pilot episode, submitted to NBC in February 1966. This sold "STAR TREK" to the network; however, Roddenberry decided to use a modified version of Alexander Courage's original theme (used in the original version of pilot #1, "The Cage") for the series, and the titles were refilmed to reflect that change...
