good catch, was this your first muskie? I have lost 2 muskie over the last 4 years, I tried to revive them for over an hour but they still died.
The water temp was 73 degrees and I still dont know why they died because we caught 2 more each time and they released fine and everything was damn near identical

I caught a huge pike while bass fishing and had the same thing happen. I don't think it reflected on my intelligence level like some may suggest.
Too many negative comments from armchair fisherman, if you love the sport then you should encourage it with positive feedback.

Well gee @gramsm1....we didn't fall out of the womb with awesome fishing knowledge as I'm sure you did. So we learned from the experience and thought maybe others could learn as well. If dorks like you were in charge of the internet there would only be videos of unicorns and pictures of cats.
