@SketchyAussie He'll generate more if he grabs the stepper motor from a printer and uses it rather than the normal dc motor. No brushes mean less friction.

@kdc43 Too much power for the metro. Youll twist driveshafts with the torque this engine will put out.

If you feed power into an electric motor, you will get motion obviously. But if you feed motion into an electric motor as he is quite obviously doing through that flywheel, what do you think you may generate?
Just a hint as to why he may have it there. :)
