@toni77fi If you look closely in the middle of the frame below the top structure there is a small glass box. Also if you look closely there are stairs leading up to the top. Those shipping docks are way to chaotic for a remote or AI piece of machine.

No. There is operators in them. They are for moving the containers around and loading onto semis.
-
Okay, so, they're some sort of remote controlled thingies...? since i didn't spot a person on board... reminded me of some automated transport robots back at the time when i worked in a steel sheet factory... nobody in sight, just these machines going on for themselves doing their jobs...
-
@toni77fi People drive those.
-
love it how the little robot (or whatever you wanna call it) slows down at the end, like it knows that there's something fishy going on up ahead :-)
-
two men were assesed at the scene and were NOT seriously hurt in the slightest..! THE END
-
are those vehicles on remote control or something?I don't see anyone driving them...
Had to respond to some of the laughable comments left here.
Firstly, (jennyshusband) all cranes at Felixstowe are thoroughly serviced regularly and HSE never took any out of operation following this. Where do you truck drivers get these rumours?
Secondly, I doubt the driver was in the cab (various reasons). That would be the thing that you see flying to the back with the spreader frame flailing beneath it (not a crane driver on a trapeze BTW).
Hope most recent driver recovers soon.
