Gurdjieff Film

G I Gurdjieff, famous esoteric teacher in France around 1949. No information on provenance or author - taken from a CD of his stuff, mostly unlistenable and unclear - but this represents important archival footage for those impressed by his teachings. Morpety (youtube user) says "This film was taken by Dushka Howarth in 1949,the daughter of one of Gurdjieffs pupils,I believe.

No, the people who were taught by Gurdjieff were very intellectual. They were not simple folks who are easily conned. They would not have continued with his teachings unless they were getting results, which they did.

There are many knock-off schools/cults from Gurdjieff, and you're right, they'll take you money if you're foolish enough to give it to them

Actually highly educated people are very easily conned if you play on their hubris. This is a cult with ulterior methods dressed up as "You are better than common man". What would you say about Blavansky,who had said she 'hates the female' and was most probably a lesbian as per her very close relationship with that woman, Alice... that helped take over after Blavanskys' death? I recall a story when one man tried to 'rap' with her and she took on an almost violent offense to it. I do know she had said "There is nothing of the female in me!"...with almost a'vengence'. One must ask :"Why would they be incarnated into an opposite gender"?
