National Anthem Romania 1977 -- 1989

Trei culori ("Three colours") was the national anthem of Romania from 1977 until 1989, during the last stage of the Communist regime. Since the anti-communist Romanian Revolution of 1989 it been replaced by Deşteaptă-te, române! Before 1977. the national anthem had been Te slăvim Românie, introduced in 1953. Trei culori is based on a Romanian patriotic song with the same title (music and lyrics by Ciprian Porumbescu). The original text twice underwent non-credited adaptation in order to match currently prevailing Communist Party ideology. The title refers to the national flag of Romania, which is a tricolor: red, yellow and blue. It has not undergone many or major changes in the course of history. Only the distribution of the colors (in point of proportion and position) changed to a certain extent, being made equal after the abortive Romanian revolution of 1848 when, under the spur of the French revolutionary spirit, many states in Europe adopted as their national flag the tricolour, or dimensionally standardized three-color banner.

This anthem is not comunist, is one of the Romanian patriotic songs composed by the well known classical composer Ciprian Porumbescu (also known as Cyprian Gołęmbiowski), however this song was used as National Anthem of the Romanian Socialist Republic between 1977 and 1989 with different lyrics.

Another song written by Porumbescu ("Pe al nostru steag"/"Hymni i flamurit") is used as the National Anthem of Albania. Is sad that most of the Romanians does not know that.

@fomlu nu stiu daca observi dar pune imnul romaniei comuniste, ritmul mai ales , linia melodica e tipic comunista ... asculta aproape orice imn actual al unei tari comuniste si ai sa vezi ca majoritatea au aceeasi linie melodica, nu stiu istoria cantecului propiu-zis, ca versuri suna bine. parere personala. sa nu cream acum polemica... comunist, necomunist, reprezenta tot romania, nu trebuie sa ne negam istoria indiferent ca a fost buna sau nu. cand vad in ce hal ne injuram pe net ... PT NIMIC!!

@CrysLoveRomania89 Ce vezi tu comunist in cantecul asta scris in secolul XIX? Imi plac deopotriva si "Desteapta-ta romane" (scris mai devreme de 1848 de Anton Pann si reorchestrat pentru poezia lui Muresanu), si "Trei Culori" al lui Porumbescu, si "Traiasca Patria" al germano-slovacului Eduard Hübsch (cu versuri de Vasile Alecsandri).

@alinro1000 deci sa inteleg ca ma-ta, dupa ce a supt pula la turci, s-a maritat cu tac-tu care-i full de bani, da nu suficient cat sa te dea si pe tine sa faci 4 clase macar =)) Eu stau in bloc? In Cambridge nu sunt blocuri asa inalte, asa ca prietene, te pui tu in genunchi si imi sugi pula pana imi dau drumul pe ma-ta. Hai pa si pusi ca nu pierd timpul cu virgini retarzi ca tine :))

@ArianeQube Ba fraiere, tu esti un prost handicapat care traieste ca un porc, tata nu culege capsiuni, este sef de constructie, castiga 3.000 € pe luna in criza asta, acuma daca ies pe balcon vad mare si plaja la 100 de metri fraiere...tu acuma mori de cald ca un prost intrun bloc jegos printrun oras pierdut din Romania
