http://howtoarchitect.com/ Learn how Shin Takamatsu's work is a lot like Baroque architecture after the Renaissance. His work is unusual, inventive, expressive and essentially an example of modern day Japanese mannerism.

  • Great stuff here!!! nice job although it would be great to get more depth on each architects work

  • i love how shin takamatsu defines aesthetic in his designs... very artistic and very original... =)

  • where is your work then :D

  • weakness of vids-repetitive introductions when you want to watch many together-plus not all episodes can be seen in all countries....so ill move on for other better designed architecture info modules, thanks.

  • doug, u're doing awsome.... are u getting paid for all these videos?

  • @howtoarchitect thnk u . u r one o the ppl i like forward to on youtube

  • The script has a noticeably irregular cadence to it: certain words pop out due to unexpected emphases of certain syllables. A bit odd, almost like an alien robot, but a friendly one thankfully.

Quite informative content, nonetheless. A series with much value for the lay person.

  • Interesting. I can't say I like his style though. Are the external elements purely decorative as in Baroque or do they reflect a function of the building?

  • I friggin LOVE YOUR VIDEOS doug! they are so very informative and i love how you apply the techniques of different architects in your own way of style as well.

I've been watching for a long time and will continue watching as it is so very interesting!

once again, thank you Doug for having this channel and making these videos =)

  • Great architect that isn't glorified much in the states. I like when architects push the norms, because there is plenty of normality out there why add to it when you have the freedom to do something better.
