The bassline of my very favourite Gerald Albright's song Who's Making Love. I love all his songs,he's just the best tenor saxophone player! :) Bass is Spector EURO 5LX,directed to Lexicon Lambda soundcard.

  • amazin honestly i was between an ibanez btb 776 and htis bass and u got me man, sounds pretty deep fat and punch , its strage how this bass is used so much for metal

  • @mcornielle Yeah I love this bass very much :) It sounds great in many styles, you can get smooth sound as well as angry bass sound for overdrive. But I also have an Ibanez bass. It's cheap GSR 200,but I've acustomed it a bit with new humbuckers and sounds amazing. Ibanez basses are really easy to play, cause they have wider string spacing than Spectors. But I found smaller spacing very comfortable after a while. It's great when you fingering something difficult like Pastorius' pieces and like ;)

  • awesome stuff! i've got a Euro 5LX too. amazing bass! what strings do you use? and what recording software and tone settings do you use? i love your tone. clean, punchy, snappy. awesome!

  • @LachyWray Thanks! I was using here .040 Ernieball roundwound strings,I used Ampeg SVX to adjust the tone little bit,I'm afraid I don't remember the exact settings, but I set bass and mids a little more. ;)
