On the other side of the truck, we used a different tool other than the k12 saw. We used an air compressed chisel ( its a minature jack hammer) to cut through the door exposing the protection bar that prevents the door from smashing in all the way. Along the way I stopped to check out how the rest of my class was doing. Then I used the halligan bar to create a spot big enough for the spreaders (aka the jaws of life) to penetrate in giving us room to take the door off.

  • Did you guys learn about how to use the ools on the rear gate? I hope so. In some situations that might be the safeste entry and exit on a MVA scene. It's good to use mu;tipal types of forcable netry tools for a MVA extercation. I just can not wrap my head around the k-12 idea. A air chisle very wise. Did you guys lern about glass saws for the windshields? How about using a spring loaded center punch on the windows in a corner will work really fast. Looks like a good school over all. Saty safe!!
