My Dad sang this to me in the 1970s; now I sing it to my own little guy. Roger Miller wrote it and Glen does it better than anyone.

One of my first Christmas memories is my Dad singing this song to me back in the late 60's. My parents would play this song every night to get me to go to sleep.

I used to listen to this song with My Mom and family at Christmas time and then I began singing it to my boys when they were little. It was one they requested every night, not just at Christmas time. Beautiful.

It's silly, but I have such great memories of singing this song in school every year in music class up until 5th grade, we all loved this song and looked forward to singing it when winter rolled around!

My husband used to sing this song to our daughter when she was little only he changed it from little boy to little girl. It brings a tear to my eye and a smile to my face every time I hear it. It's a good song to grow up with and hopefully when my daughter and son-in-law has a child of their own she will sing it to him/her.
