These are some of the best night photos that I have taken with my Nikon D5000 DSLR camera. In order to achieve these results, I used long exposure, small aperture (to avoid the shaking caused by the mirror. I compensate for the smaller aperture by exposing it longer), and 200 ISO or less. If you have any questions about the Nikon D5000 or in photography, please simply leave a comment or a message and I will be more than happy to assist you! • @antonycancel Results will vary depending on what you are trying to take.

  • The photo at 0:55 is amazing. What kind of lense did you use. and what kind of settings did you use? I take all the advise i get ..

  • @ThePurpleRay Thank you .I used the standard 18-55mm Nikkor Lens. I was in SHUTTER SPEED mode when taking that shot, I had to also increase the ISO and I used a few techiniques of my own.

  • @ Hazardteamck Thank you for responding so fast. I think I'm going to try this on the aurora polaris ( northen light ) tonight. It is so beautiful and it deserve to be captured on a photo. :)

  • @ThePurpleRay No problem. I always check my email and it lets me know when there is a new comment. Make a video, I look foward to seeing it if you wanna post it.

  • When i take long exposure pictures i get to much noise. I use 5s / f4.5 / 200iso. Any suggestions ?

  • I'm going to get the D5000 for christmas. Amasing pics! I like using slow shutter speeds on passing cars

  • @steve702 The macro lenses can be quite expensive. I've heard Sigma Nikon Mount Macro Lenses are not bad.
