Col. Potter Cairn Rescue Network was formed for the purposes of rescuing purebred Cairn Terriers and Cairn Terrier mixes which are homeless or soon-to-be-homeless, including those found in animal shelters or similiar facilities and those released by their owners due to change in family circumstances or otherwise, as well as purebred Cairn Terriers and Cairn Terrier mixes which are being used as breeding stock by puppy mills and backyard breeders, including those disposed of in puppy mill auctions. CPCRN facilitates the pick-up and transport of these dogs, arranges for their spay/neuter in addition to other appropriate veterinary care, rehabs and fosters and then seeks applications and screens permanent "forever homes".

I lost my Cairn on January 26, '09. I had him for 13 years and I miss him so much I don't know if I can bear to go through this again, but I'll probably rescue another dog and let him save me. That's usually how it works.

The faces of Rescue. We all can learn from these little ones. To watch a rescued cairn blossom into a happy loving pet is the most rewarding experience in the world

Col. Potter makes miracles. I have my own little miracle, Toddy, rescued from a mill, who now teaches my foster Cairns what life can be about.
