Best if played through a sub woofer. Joe Gavin is playing this unit through a small fishman Jr amp with a relatively flat response. The sound here is for lighter rhythm sound rather than a thump. The Best stompbox do produce a great thump if you EQ them to do that or use a sub to enhance the bottom end. They will thump you off the stage with a good PA set.
