It's probably because the new CGI show is French, so the humour didn't translate well into English.

gross garfield just first drank coffee and then put it into jon's smelly/dirty shoe/boot and then it got into jon's DIRTY sock and he rang it out into odie's food dish then odie drinks it with his tounge including dog breath and other stuff he shouldnt eat and put it back into the cup and garfield DRANK the dirty cup of coffee saying its MUCH better

They should show reruns of this on TV. The Garfield Show is fine, but this should air in reruns.
