At the start of 1932, things where really looking up for Al. He started this year recording 4 sides on 5th January at the Edison Bell Works, With Jock McDermott and His band, here is one of them. He was now earning a fixed wage recording and Broadcasting for Roy Fox and his band and playing at the Monseigneur. He was still making quite a few sides for Ray Noble and The New Mayfair Dance Orchestra, and recorded and Broadcast with The Savoy Hotel Orpheans led by Carroll Gibbons.
Other bands he recorded with this year included Arthur Lally, Dave Frost, Debroy Somers and a few recordings under his own name with a small orchestra. If Al wasn't recording, he was broadcasting. He must have been earning quite a lot this year.
Find out why Al Bowlly began recording for Lew Stone and His Band in October, 1932 in part 7.
I am fan of Al and nice to hear him . Just got hold of a copy of I "Double Dare You" on 78.

Great record! Al is perfect, as usual. This melody is identical to "My Temptation" which Fred Astaire recorded in NY.

Al recorded so many songs it is hard to keep up with him. I have never heard this one before and it is a gem. Thanks.

Smashing to hear this little heard band and a great new tune for me.I'm in agreement with the above as i always say the same and it sounds overdone but as always i genuinely love this!

I definitely should look up in a dictionary some more synonyms for "outstanding", I can't always use the same worn out words can I.
