Michael Jordan on Father's Day 1996 - Bulls vs Sonics - Game 6

Michael Jordan and the Bulls win their fourth NBA championship with a 87-75 win over Seattle in game six of the NBA Finals.

Jordan scored 22 and Pippen added 17. Luc Longley scored 12 big points. Ron Harper and Toni Kucoc added 10 each.

Dennis Rodman was a major factor, as he pulled down 19 rebounds.

It was probably fate the Bulls lost games four and five in Seattle. As we all know, this win came in Chicago on Father's Day.

It was Jordan's first championship since the death of his father, and the emotion was evident.

The Bulls' fourth title was to be the first of their second three-peat.

The key thing we should take from this: When Jordan AND Pippen were on fire at the same time, there was nothing that could be done to shut down the Chicago Bulls. Both players could post great numbers singly in a game and still end up with a loss. But when the Lennon and McCartney of basketball were lit up, the game, as Chick Hearn would say, wwas "in the refrigerator".
