This is the torpedo projector part 2 showing you on a white sheet on the wall with lights on and lights off, also up close so you can see the "window screen" affect that I talked about in the first video review.

  • I'm thinking about getting this for my PS3. Does it work with MW2? Has anyone tested any Multiplayer games with this projector? Is buying a screen a good idea?

  • @TrueBlueAstrax If your game console uses regular RCA cables to connect to the TV, then it will work with the Torpedo. I'm sure people have tested it on Multiplayer games. A screen is always a good investment but you can build one if you're handy and especially if you don't have a large blank wall to project onto. All my friends tell me that BF2BC2 is hella better than MW2.

  • Hello, I am thinking about getting this thing! There would be nothing better than watching football on a 6 foot screen, lol. Could you please post more videos of this thing in action!! Thanks

  • There are additional videos of this thing at the web site listed in the video details (see the right of this page where my avatar is next to the "subscribe" button...where it says "more info". Click that and you'll see a link that will take you to my torpedo page.

  • Looks great as far as I'm concerned. I think I'm going to purchase one.

The screen door effect really isn't any big deal to me.. How many of us actually watch tv with your nose 16 inches from the screen anyway?

The big selling point for me is being able to replace the bulbs at a reasonable cost.

I'm sure that you were able to pick them up at a local home depot for a fraction of what it would cost on other projectors.

Thanks for taking the time to publish your review.

  • Yeah, seriously, it's not all *that bad*. I mean, if I was wanting uber theatre quality then I would pass on this, but it's a toy and for what it is, I think it's pretty awesome. It's fun. It's portable and it's durable. You can get bulbs uber cheap on ebay too. I've been using the same bulb for probably a year now and I watch TV every night..bulb cost me less than $5 if I remember right. I don't even notice the window screen effect. If I'm looking for it I see it but otherwise it's fine.

  • Thanks for the review! It was very helpful. I'm considering getting this as a gift for my girlfriend.

  • @NewsPope Not everyone has 375.00 to purchase one. The Torpedo is a TOY and for what it is, I think it performs well. I simply replaced the default 35 watt bulb with a 50 watt which cost me a whopping 4.75. If I wanted to use an LED, I could spend 40-50.00 for that.

I dropped my torpedo on the floor from table height on accident no less than 6 times. It's still running great. Wonder what would happen to the PJD...

  • @Tubejoul

If you're asking if the projector can be hooked up to a PC the answer is no, not unless you have a special video card that handles RCA cables or some kind of converter that accommodate RCA cables.

  • @rigidheddleweaving

But my question was about video files from a computer(laptop).

I just wanna make sure b4 i buy it.Can it work with video files(.wmv,.mpg.flv,.avi)etc... from a computer?

  • @Tubejoul The projector will allow you to watch whatever your player will play. It's merely projecting what the player is feeding it. A dvd player and vhs player are merely televisions, but without a screen. The projector, and/or your television set merely become the "eyes".

  • Does the projector allow you to watch video files from ripped dvds, with mpg, avi, flv, wmv extensions?

  • I dont wanna hear "for what you pay for, its good" crap. The people are fighting between HI DEF 3 million dollar projectors and this one... I have the dang thing.... Its so freaking dark you cant see a movie like Batman AT ALL, or anything by Tim burton. The only movies that show are pixar movies. I am not a HI DEF person. I dont own one NOR WANT one. NO HDMI this or that. And saying "all that bad" and you barely SEE THE PICTURE AT ALL is either lies or Many of us have broken ones out the box
