  • It would seem stupid as a lock maker to produce locks with a) little security for their designed purpose, and 2) giving the keyway pathetic cut depths meaning it is easy to pop open like that.

I think it is uneconomical for everybody even the costumer.

Nice vid and just shows the false sense of security some locks give ppl. Very important point made nicely shown ray

  • thanks,mike....yeah,the lock i talked my bud into getting was only 15.00 $, so like 7 or 8£,

    but as i said, a disc-detainer, with 6 discs..

difficult for even seasoned pickers, and a small horseshoe shape....his bike is much safer now. =)

  • Nice job and hows the military lock going?

  • oh, its a LONG way off.

    gotta make special tools.

  • ah ya good luck ;)

  • ima'need it..a LOT of it...that lock is a freakin' monster.

  • @wizwazzle Hey pal, which lock did you suggest for only $15? I saw you mention a disc detainer with 6 discs, but I don't know what that looks like, can you mention specific types of lock examples? I got the Kryptonite legend 1590, based on your recommendation, for the frame, but still need something for the tires & seat that are considerablly lighter & cheaper than the 1000 lb Kryptonite legend that set me back $82! Lol, thnx!!

  • i just ordered a set of picks i am a bigginer and am loving your vids hopefully i can get as good as you i will keep watching

  • i have a packer one (the same lock) and it requires a ton of tension to open with the key, any tips on spp or raking and tension

  • Great video but depressing. I just bought a port runner folding bike and I'd like to know how to lock it up so I don't lose my investment. Is there a lock/chain combo that I can use to make it less likely to be stolen? With much appreciation, Laurie

  • i tried to googly what you told your friend to get, and couldnt find anything. im sure its because i dont know the lingo, but what kind of lock would you recommend for a bike lock? i use a really heavy chain, and have had shit luck finding something really secure for a lock.

  • Wizwazzle, are there any good locks?

I mean ones that take you at least a minute to get through?

Padlocks, you know... not bank vaults.

I can't believe how fast you opened that On Guard!

  • wow did you pick it already !! all i did was read the 1st comment ! 5*****

  • OMG How easy did that open! It just lay down and died at the sight of the pick!LOL :o)
