WSR Autumn Gala 2011 Part 1

The West Somerset Railway held it's annual autumn gala, with various engines putting in appearances. This video focuses on the highlights of Saturday 1st of October. The weather could only be described as an Indian Summer, with temperatures reaching the high twenties. Very unlike the norm for the time of year.

This year saw the gala debut of 7828 Odney Manor (Running as Norton Manor) as well as 34070 Manston and GNR N2 1744 as guest engines. It was unfortunate to hear the fellow guest engine 5029 Nunney Castle had failed on the Friday of the event with a broken lubrication pipe on a driving wheel axlebox.

Great collection of shots Phil, Ive been trying to get that glint at Ker Moor for ages, couldnt makje this gala and there it is,wonderful!!!!
