  • This version sucks!, the one by Colin Newman is %100 better

  • @teescupounadriatico Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

  • Thanks for posting this. Would you mind posting the original Temple of Love (studio version) by Sisters of Mercy if you have it?

  • Sorry, I don't speak english.

  • This whole album, to me, is one of the shining examples of the creativity and sheer brilliance that was the 80's. PERFECTION!

  • As great as of a movie as Silence Of The Lambs is, Filigree and Shadow will stand the test of time even better, a bigger picture, art with broader strokes, while integrating many bands and talented individuals. One can't take this song out of the context of the entire disc if one is attempting to discern the quality of this cover, until the helicopters fade at last... Colin Newman wrote one good song and worked for good bands, Hawkwind and Wire are great but Ivo is a genius as id this cover

  • Just watched silence of the lambs, and was reminded of this song. Solid.

  • I love Caroline Seaman's voice...I miss Heavenly Bodies as well...

  • @wir154 exactly

  • I think both this version and the original by Colin Newman are excellent. I think the Colin Newman version works brilliantly on "Silence of the Lambs". I don't think this version would have created such a creepy atmosphere if it had been echoing through Buffalo Bills flat like the C.N. version, but I still like it and actually heard it first, despite being a big Wire fan.

  • the cello (or violin, sorry im not good with instruments) in the intro haunts the crap out of me, but yet I still love this song. dammit I love it.

  • The original was written by Colin Newman. Alone. With too much generosity. A theatre mask of hostility attracts. Assaults occur in-frequently but those who come to conquer need strength but damage accumulates moving him to tears retained a sense of humour retained a sense of humour retained a sense of humour retained a sense of humour retained a sense of humour

  • heeer that keedies
