Learn to change any paper-thin surface into a solid object of uniform thickness using the Thicken tool in bonzai3d. Also perform a true offset of any complex 3D surface. By Matthew Holewinski. http://www.bonzai3d.com
Bonzai3d offers MUCH more than does SketchUp including true solid modeling, the ability to create proper geometry, NURBS tools, and much much more. Check out the other videos -- or try a Demo version and you will most likely see why many SketchUp users are switching to bonzai3d. :)
@bonzai3dSoftware well if you need to pay for it id hope that theres lots more to offer. is it free and if so whats a site cause id love to download this. unless i have to pay of course
There is a free trial version of bonzai3d that you can download by going to bonzai3d (dot) com, selecting Products: bonzai3d: and clicking on Trial. (Sorry, YouTube does not allow direct links -- you can also just Google bonzai3d Trial if you prefer...)
We are also working on a free PLE version that will not expire (like the Trial version does eventually) so this will be another option for the future. :)
