In 2011 the carnival will be on the 8th of March. Salvador its just like any big city ,you should be precasious but its a big deal.

I'm post this to get more info. I'm going to Salvador in march for carnival. I was told that there are a lot of fights and the the street smell like urine. I've always been told that Brazil is the place to meet great people full of life. I want to get more insight as to what happen there from people that have been there. Any info would be helpful!

Im not sure yet but I belive that will be on the 2nd week of FEB 2011 as it was last month so it is a lot fun and good time... Thank you for the comment...if you guys need any help to go to brazil let me know im working with travel and im from brazil also :)
