@joker80james that's the point of an audition. show off what you can do, because even though it's just tricks, you'll get through on them and then you can dance properly next time haha.

Thing is though: That's amateur for you. They just want to audition, so they put together what they think is an awesome audition-winning routine, but there's no experience behind it.

The better routines come in time. Or, if they suck at planning, they hire someone. ;-)
