The New Power Generation just didn't fit Prince's music. It had a "rapper who couldn't rap" (in the words of one music writer), and Rosie Gaines was more concerned with showing off shouter vocals than being sexy. She tried to upstage Prince rather than support him. As a singer Lisa Coleman didn't have Gaines' belt, but she was VERY erotic.

@mare2405 You're absolutely right about that. Wendy was extremely pissed with Prince boning and being engaged to her sister. She didn't even like the fact that Susannah was a member of the organization.
