OK, I'm a complete dummy when it comes to Tango. Also, I like Tim and this is why I watched this video, but really Alicia was doing all the work here not him...I guess he was using his 4 hr philosophy here as well..

The point is that he got all that through very shady means. He's not someone you want to emulate. He openly admits that he won his kickboxing championship on a technicality.

Yes, you are a complete dummy when it comes to tango... if you watch closely you see it's not her doing all the "work" (actually she is just walking around him) but it's him "flipping" his foot back.

However, it cannot be accomplished if only one of them does the "work" as you say it - it takes a lot of practice to dance together. Neither does all the credit go to him or her alone, nor is it easy to accomplish.

As in many forms of couples dancing, the role of the man in Argentine tango is mainly being the support for the connection, while the woman's is to flirt and tease, to look beautiful. So, yes, while it appears that she's doing all of the work, he has to maintain that balance, that control, that feeling, that stalwart calm for her to remain in rhythm. It's a subtlety, easily overlooked, but nonetheless an admirable achievement.
