Kieron Gaffney - Britains Got Talent Audition 23/05/09

Kieron Gaffney is hoping to keep the Judges in their seats on Britains Got Talent. 12 year old Kieron from Kent. Despite only playing his instrument, the drums, for one year he is keen to take on the Judges.

As Kieron explains when I play I just shut my eyes and just feel the music inside, its a really good experience. Id love to be the best drummer in the world when Im older. And the Judges, not normally a fan of the drums, look really impressed with Kierons efforts as he drums along to the Beach Boys Wipeout and Ant and Dec side of stage, are loving it dancing along and by the end of the performance all the audience are on their feet.

can i just point out to you hes 13 what had u achieved when u were his age?? he works very hard on his drumming and his whole family support him, he is an amazing boy and people who dont see that are either predjudiced or just bloody deaf ... ly kieron :D x

I enjoyed Kieron's performance last night and the right decision was made. What I would like to see him do is to "Dance with the Devil" by Cozy Powell - Classic in my day and would suite his style of drumming.

Solo drumming is reserved for special performers like Phil Collins - maybe Kieron will eventually become as good but would need a great signature tune.

Hope he goes well in the competition ....

He dont just play one song !!

His mum and dad have their own band called Mixed Emotions & he accompanies them with all their songs and is great.

He has been a family friend of mine & im not gunna just let you all stab him in the back. Its unfair. He has amazing talent for his age, obviously your choosiing not to see it.

He is a ok drummer for his age but ive been in this area for years (im an ex royal marines drummer)and their are more talented drummers around than keiron in many local bands at the moment.I think he is over rated,but with commitment and most importantly many hours of practice he should become a good drummer.Local drummers such as Andy Race (EK1),was very talented from an early age and learnt all the rudiments properly and has amazing hand speed.I've only seen Kieron play cover versions so far .

hes been playing a lot longer than one year, when i seen him and his parents play a pub they were saying he was 13, why are they saying hes 12, he is not polite he is the most stuck up arrogant kid ive ever seen cos his parents tell him hes a god, he wont go far, cos when his parents push him far too much and he will just breakdown into a little crying girl

i dont understand how it DID NOT get through when other cap acts did?? his face fell when he got through to then next round to be told he was nNOT going through he was AMAZING :(

To be fair to Kieron that act usually has a lot more to it but was obviously only allowed to play so much for that part of the show.
