Being a Soldier in the U.S. Army requires great strength, discipline, coordination and above all--teamwork. These Soldiers work as a unit for common goal understood by all. They stand at attention with pride, knowing they belong to a team like no other. There is a team that is like no other team in the world—the U.S. Army. Find out more at http://www.goarmy.com

  • ". I don't care if I die, I'd be protecting what is dear to me, and I know that i will die for it."

    I can't agree more.

  • You knw nothing of the man next to you...true ignorance. I WILL join the Army, and I DO know what it means to serve. You lack the knowledge to see that the individual makes the Army look bad, not the Army itself. I don't care if I die, I'd be protecting what is dear to me, and I know that i will die for it. You lack the courage to do so, so you shut the noise coming from your mouth right the hell this minute. If you lack the courage to die for it, than show the courage to respect it's fighters.

  • @NBGZerO die for lies pls!

  • @miamibabii77 you're* for you are and soldier

  • I'm really sad I'll never be able to go to the army, unless in the near future they'll be accepting people with ulcerative colitis and coeliac, or if a cure comes out for these sicknesses.

    Hooah. :<

  • @EliteGhost001 alright bro i get what u mean. but understand that deployment isnt us soldier's choice to where we want to go. so dont hold it against soldiers. tats all i have to say.

  • @EliteGhost001 national interest for a state like the US is pretty far ranging, including international treaties, combating terrorism (which is pretty far rangin in itself) etc.

  • @zizachz

That's what I like about the US army: it doesn't need all manpower to help after a natural disaster and has more then enough for aid after a disaster. The Dutch army had 70.000 men and women in service. Of which 1500 men were send to Afghanistan and they called it a "big mission''. Kinda made me wonder how ineffecient our army is. Now they're cutting the budget and 12.000 people, al our tanks and all cougar helicopters will have to go.

  • @EliteGhost001

There is a branch in the U.S. armed forces that helps with civilian issues inside America itself that is the National Guard.

As for the Army going abroad trying to fix a mess, it's not the Army that does that, the Army will however go help with rebuilding countries after they are hit by a natural disaster etc..

None special forces Army soldiers are there to fight 'actual' wars like the current ones in Afghanistan etc.. (This statement is regarding only the U.S. Army branch.)

  • @Airz18

I know about national interrest but they've got involved with other conflicts that would't have affect them.

  • @EliteGhost001 The US goes abroad to 'fix a mess somewhere else' because its in their national interest to do so for varying reasons.

No idea about the second question im not American.
