  • Nice tutorial bud...except I cant get it to work; tried .mov and .mpeg.

I'm running on vista and xp. Video seems to load ok but wont render on Gem.

    Any ideas?

  • probably a codec issue? Try using Quicktime motion jpeg A at 350x240 and see if that will play. Also it's usually best keep the loops kinda short

  • Hello. I'm on a Macbook Pro running 10.5.2. I downloaded the newest intel autobuild of pd extended (20080222) and I can't create any of those 'pix' objects. Any idea why?

    Thanks.

  • try grabbing the stable build instead of the nightly

  • I uploaded the mixer and screen shot to-

puredata dot info s/ash Members s/ash cypod s/ash patches

  • You can down load a cleaner cut on Archive dot Org search for PureDataVideoMixer or there is a link from my homepage

  • Nice tutorial mate. Just what I need. Cheers

  • I wanted to say thanks for the tutorial video. It was helpful. I do want to warn anyone who's trying a related project that pix_mix only updates when the left input changes. So, as a result, if your left image becomes paused, then the mixer stops functioning. This can be overcome by funneling the left input through a pix_buf and adding another gemhead object connected to a bang message in order to bang the pix_buf, thus updating the left input even when it hasn't really changed.

  • Pretty much useless. Can't see a thing on the screen might as well be audio only. Would be extremely useful if you explained each step and the resolution was higher.

  • Got it. "Create" was capitalized

  • Hi, this is the error I get when I go to create - error: gemwin: no method for 'Create' I followed the tutorial 100%. I am on a P.C. Any help pls?

  • you are not explaining why there ist the number 2 in "gemhead"!

  • use a better quality video the next time you think to make a tutorial....

  • Always connect the outlet of the preceeding object to the inlet of the one you want to connect. The other way around will not work. Check out the Floss Manual on PureData or the help + tutorials included with PD. Best of luck.

  • I am having a problem connecting the objects together. It just doesn't seem to work, are you holding any keys on the keyboard when you connect them?
