Eli Manning ties the knot

Hello I'm Rebecca Field with today's UPI entertainment update on this Monday, April 21, 2008.

Football star Eli Manning is officially off the market. The Giants quarterback reportedly married his college girlfriend Abby McGrew over the weekend. The New York Daily News says the pair tied the knot on the beach in Cabo San Lucas. It was an intimate ceremony...apparently about 60 friends and family members attended.

There's talk that Britney Spears is returning to prime time TV. One source tells People magazine she'll make another appearance on CBS' "How I met Your Mother." The pop star did one episode last month, causing ratings to jump. The source says she enjoyed her time on the show and wanted to come back.

The new kung fu film "The forbidden Kingdom" is fighting its way to the top of U.S. box offices. The film, starring Jackie Chan and Jet Li was number one in theaters over the weekend, taking more than 20 million in ticket sales. The comedy starring Kristen Bell and Jason Segel "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" landed in second, followed by "Prom Night" with Brittany Snow.

Sandra Bullock and her husband Jesse James are luckily safe after being hit by a drunk driver over the weekend. The two were reportedly riding in a car late Friday night, when a car smashed into the front of their vehicle. Fortunately no one was injured in the crash. The driver of the car that hit them apparently showed a blood alcohol level of 2 and a half times the legal limit.

Prince William is facing harsh criticism for allegedly misusing a military helicopter. William reportedly landed the aircraft in a field behind his girlfriend, Kate Middleton's parents' home. Britain's defense ministry said it was authorized and part of the Prince's flight training. They added the helicopter was only on the ground for 20 seconds, and no one got on or off.
