Toshiba 32AV502R 32" LCD HDTV Review Part 1

My review of the Toshiba 32" TV for those considering making the purchase.

Pros:
Good looking TV
Solid amount of inputs
Great picture and intelligent dynamic light/contrast setting
Digital and analog audio outs
Simple and useful menu
Fast response time and no gaming lag

Cons:
Speakers are on par for 32 inch TV (read: crap)
No picture in picture

Verdict:
Excellent value at the $350 price point. Great bedroom television.

Is there any way to get better vid quality? Am I maybe doing something wrong? I've got this exact tv, and the picture quality isn't quite right..don't know how exactly to describe it, but I'm thinking it can do better. Is there any one type of hdmi cable or something I could try?

@WisconsinSports414 What type of video input are you using? You should get the best quality with a HDMI cable but if the cable box/DVD or whatever source you are using isn't HD then it won't look as good.

What are you watching that's not looking as good as you expect?

Hey man you shouldn't block the vents on your cable box - I've had a cable box overheat and fail because of this. I know the cable company replaces them free, but you still have to go through the hassle of picking up a new box. Just thought I'd let you know.

I was a bit iffy about doing it originally. But I couldn't find a small wood stand that would sit over the box. I'll see what I can do.

@beeftothetaco123 ive used it with my laptop and its got a standerd old video card in it and it works i recommend strongly if you want the best video quality go buy a hdmi cable and i lay games on my laptop with it works fine

I like this video.. I ve a Samsung 37 full hd but my second option was this lcd,.. even now when i go to the mall i stand in front of it just to see how it works.
