i think you should burn those text books cause school is almsot entirely a process of endoctrination not education. genetic determinism is a dangerous concept and has even led to things like the history of eugenics. we are not victims of our genes. a predisposition is not to say a predetermination. we are if anything, environmentally determined, that includes other beings.
