About 2,000 ethnic Hmong from Laos have agreed to return to return home after a mass breakout from a Thai detention centre. They marched out of the camp trying to bring attention to their claims for asylum. Some say they were offered $500 per family from the Los government to return home. That's the equivalent of half a year's wage in the impoverished nation. But 3,000 Hmong refuse to go back and they are demanding urgent help from the United Nations' refugees agency, Al Jazeera's Hannah Belcher reports.

  • @1000MileLost to look like damn backstabbers. WE wanted nothing but to live the AMERICAN DREAM, but obviously ALOT nothing was done. UNTIL this day, and thats why I am complaining that the US government doesn't want to help the HMONG during our hard times. WE were there for the US government during the WAR. Remember, that wasn't our war, it was the US, we just wanted a better life. thats all.

  • @1000MileLost Yes, I understand your point....but what you dont understand is that the HMONG PEOPLE were recuited by the CIA to help with the war...our trade off with the US was to get arrangements to come to the US. and I understand that ALOT of people did, but the CIA is still in denial about the whole ordeal about the HMONG helping with the war. The US should lend a hand or atleast negotiate with the communist about the HMONG, but instead they just picked up their shit and left, leaving the

  • Also remember the news about those Hmong Christian or Catholic in Vietnam? Why aren't you Hmong out there protesting against Vietnam for their slaughtered of these people for protesting??? But only protest against Laos for doing the same thing? That doesn't make any sense at all. You Hmong are nothing more then choosy. The Hmong cannot move on. They still want revenge not just Lao Gov. But also the Lao people that the Hmong blame and hated so much. Hmong are their own worst enemy.
