Before the Ottoman period, Bosnians were called Bogomils by Turks. They were different then Serbs and other christians because they believed in 1 god but not in Jesus. So they did not belong to the christianity but an different believe which is closer to the believe of Turks (Islam). With this reason, Bosnians and the Bosnian land became under Ottoman control without any war. And in 5 centuries they got many things from Ottoman/Turk culture.
