This documentary is one of the best films I have seen. This film is about an orphaned killer whale who befriends a community in Nootka Sound, British Columbia. What an amazing documentary! Loved it, cried during the movie! Not understandable for me are the decisions of the department...no comments on that! But also it freaks me out to hear these people say 'we have to make decisions for him, we know whats best for him'! How do they know? HE made contact and he never harmed anyone so stop talking. Maybe 'all your education' can be wrong! Learn from it instead of destroying a innocent life!

I'd like to know too, I wanted to see Saving Luna, or The Whale, but in my country it's not avaliable. We didn't even had the cove in cinema :( If it only was I would buy or go to see it

And you could swim with wild orcas and easily get away with it. Ones from the wild are not aggressive like the ones in captivity, nothing would happen if you got in the water, just keep hands away from mouth.

I wish there were more like him. Pretty ridiculous some people wanted it to be as illegal as possible to even pet him. All Luna wanted was our attention and some claimed these stupid laws to "protect" him when really he was being deprived of what he wanted, there was no danger. He died because of an accident, not because of human attention. Why many people are Hell bent on breaking that bond, I will never understand. He will be remembered. RIP Luna.
